musa acuminata
non-native 🚢
Musa acuminata, also known as cavendish banana, is an ancient banana species originating in Southeast Asia, not native to the Seychelles but cultivated there widely. Botanically, musa is not a tree, like a palm, but a plant with massive leaves that overlap and bind forming a trunk-like stem.
